Community Solar refers to local solar power plants that are shared by multiple customers (subscribers) providing residents, small businesses, and nonprofits of a community the opportunity to share the benefits of solar power, even if installing solar on-site is not an option. Subscribers receive power generated by the community solar array that is less expensive than power generated from conventional fossil fuel power plants. Community Solar requires no capital investment, equipment installation, or ongoing maintenance obligations.

Anyone who pays a ComEd or Ameren electric bill can sign up to save money and support the SBAC. That includes SBAC members, employees, family members, and friends!
